Stefano Greppi
is now 32 years old and has been DJing since 1987. From 1992
to 1999 Stefano held a residency at one of the most important
clubs in Italy, the "Prince", based in Riccione. During this
period and due to increasing popularity as a DJ he also played
in various clubs all over the Italian mainland including UB (Milan),
Alterego (Verona), Maneggio (Novara), Alien (Rome),
Underground City & Fixx (Pescara), Extasys & Ripping (Sardinia)
and Pascią & Echoes & Club Dei 99 (Riccione) as well as
international gigs in the UK for Syncopate & Federation and
Bypass in Geneve. In 1999 Stefano started on the first of his
music productions and although being self taught he quickly
learned his way around a studio. Stephano believes that all
his creations are the result of his temporary state of mind
which he later expresses through house-electronic sounds. In
October 2001 Stefano decide to move to London to increase his
knowledge as both a DJ and Producer. Thanks to his productions
which have been released on various labels worldwide he has
played sets in some of the worlds best venues including Cult (Lausanne
CH), Crash (London), Gum Club (Hamburg Germany), Mint (Buenos
Aires), Cocorico (Riccione Italy), Doc Show (Bologna), Link
(Bologna), The Flame (Bari), Alien and Asbolute (Rome) as well
as gigs in Greece, Switzerland and Argentina As well Stefano's
music, including the releases "FREEDOM IS..." (2000) which was
licensed in UK by Alternative Route Records, in Portugal by
KAOS Records, in the USA by MAGNETIK Records and in Italy by
GRAFFIO Recoords and "ELECTRO-POP" (2002) licensed by PLASTICA
UK have been played by the best DJ's on the planet such as
Danny Tenaglia, Deep Dish, John Digweed, Sasha, Danny Howells,
Anthony Pappa and Nick Warren. These tracks have also been
featured on many major compilations including:

Currently Stefano has returned to Italy (Riccione) where he
has concentrated his efforts in the setting up of his studio
and as well a new label under the "SCREEN Recordings" moniker
with which he plans to license and release music that both
moves and influences him and to link these tracks with a
strong visual imagery. Acclaimed as a pioneering artist
through his productions in underground dance music Stefano is
getting ready for a big 2004.... |
